The unique positioning of this lodge on the banks of the Crocodile River, within the boundaries of the Kruger National Park, ensures a holiday filled with game viewing at its very best. With its own private viewing deck and swimming pool, you can chose to just sit back, relax, and wait for wildlife to come to you. Or within 15 minutes, you can be in the Kruger National Park, (entering through the Crocodile Bridge gate), enjoying a game filled drive in this popular south eastern area of the Park.
Many sightings of the Big 5 have taken place from the deck, in the dryer seasons, large herds of elephant and buffalo are frequent visitors. Many antelope species, rhino, giraffe, hippo all take their turn in visiting the river, accompanied by an endless supply of birds (over 300 on the Ngwenya bird spotting list) and always watched from the river by the lurking crocodile.

As you watch the sun set across the river, the evening sounds reflect the nocturnal life that is beginning to stir. From viewing to listening, your senses will become alert to the noises of the night. The resonating of bats, the chorus of frogs and insects, not to mention the lion reminding all of his territory, or the laughter of the hyena as he calls the clan together. Time to light up the braai, bring out the sundowners, and relax, reminiscing on the events of the day.

The double storey thatched lodge has five well sized air-conditioned bedrooms (three upstairs and two downstairs) all with en-suite bathrooms. All linen is supplied for the bedrooms and towels for the bathrooms. Guests are requested to bring their own swimming towels. Four of the five en-suite bathrooms have both baths and separate showers. The remaining en-suite bathroom is equipped with a shower only.

The main area of the lodge has a fully equipped kitchen with open plan lounge and dining room, all fully air-conditioned. Granite work surfaces in the kitchen, dishwasher, and washing machine (just in case!) as well as micro wave, fridge, freezer and bar fridge, ensure that your self catering holiday is a luxurious home from home.

The lounge is furnished with a comfy leather suite, perfect for catching the "score" on TV. There is a 10 seater dining room table, as well as a large patio table on the veranda to meet all your outdoor catering requirements.

The lodge is serviced daily (except Sundays when servicing is offered as an optional extra).

There are three private car ports available at the entrance to the Lodge.

Private game viewing decks are situated on variable levels with shade being provided from the midday sun by a beautiful weeping boerbean tree. The private infinity pool overlooks the river, providing an illusion of being part of the natural surroundings. Both decks, and pool, provide wonderful views of the river, the floodplain and the Kruger National Park. It is possible to swim in the pool, or sit on the deck, whilst game passes slowly below, oblivious to the audience watching from above.

A built in braai (barbeque) is situated on the verandah, so there's no excuse for the "chef" missing the action happening in the riverside arena!
